How to Enable OR Disable Query Suggestions in Google Search

Google has added a new feature called "Query Suggestions" to improve your search results which saves your time a lot.As you type into the search box, Google Suggest guesses what you're typing and offers suggestions in real time. This is similar to Google's "Did you mean?" feature that offers alternative spellings for your query after you search, except that it works in real time.

How to Enable / Disable this Feature :

1. Go to www.google.com

2. Click on the Preferences which is the right of the search box.

3.Disable Query Suggestions feature :
In the Query Suggestions box click on the Do not provide query suggestions in the search box.

4.Enable Query Suggestions feature :
In the Query Suggestions box click on the Provide query suggestions in the search box.

5. Done.

More With Google Preferences :

Google Preferences allows you to set default search preferences like Language, Number of Results, Safe Search Filtering and whether or not your results are opened in a new window.The best preference is the Language setting. It allows you to choose search results only for pages written in the languages you choose.

Google Chrome OS announced!

Google just announced on their blog that they are releasing an operating system called Google Chrome OS.Google Chrome OS is based on the open source model. It would be a light weight operating system and it would be targeted at the netbooks for now. Google stated that netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available the second half of 2010.

The focus of the OS will be on “speed, simplicity and security” as Google points out. Like all Google properties, the new OS will sport a clean UI and be extremely lightweight.

As per official google blog :

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Because we’re already talking to partners about the project, and we’ll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve.

and they also stated that :

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We're designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work.

Google Chrome OS will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips.The basic model of this operating system is Chrome browser running on top of Linux kernel.

Step 5: You are done!

Now your account deletion process will be notified to Yahoo team and it will be deactivated and then deleted from there user registration database in approximately 90 days!

How to Access Windows 7 Hidden Themes

Microsoft Windows 7 have 5 default themes available for customization. If you are not satisfied with these Windows 7 default themes then there are more hidden themes available in windows 7 for regional countries such as Australia, Great Britain,Canada, United States and South Africa.You can unhide this themes using the following simple steps.

Method 1 :

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Click Organize, and select Folder and Search Options.
3. Go to View tab.
4. Select Show hidden files, folders and drivers and uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended). If prompted with confirmation, click Yes.
5. Click OK.
6. Browse to the following folder:

\Windows\Globalization\MCT\

7. There are five folders in the name with format MCT-XX (where XX is AU, CA, GB, US, or ZA) which represents globalization settings for each region. Go into the folder that you want to activate its theme.

Note: AU, CA and ZA regions have the same themes.

8. Open the Theme folder inside the selected region folder.
9. Double click on the XX.theme file to apply the theme to the Windows 7 desktop system. Once a theme is ran and activated, the theme will be remembered and saved into Personalization options, so that user can change or select the theme again directly from Personalization settings screen.
10. Now to go to Folder Options to reverse the first 5 steps to hide the hidden and protected system files and folders again.

Method 2 :

Go to \Windows\winsxs, and search for *.theme. Double click on the first 5 themes with names AU, CA, GB, US, and ZA in the format of XX as listed above to apply and save the theme.
